Fonadhoo is the capital island of Laamu Atoll and the main commercial and administrative centre for the southern region of the central Maldives. The island has a domestic airport, good infrastructure, and serves as an excellent base for exploring Laamu's outstanding marine biodiversity and cultural heritage.
